I have worked in the social services field for the last eight years beginning my career as a Child
Protection Specialist with Cuyahoga County Children and Family Services in 2012. Here is where my passion for mental health and wellness was birthed.

Since that time I received my Master’s Degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from South University. I became licensed by the State of Ohio, in 2016. I have worked in an array of settings in the mental health field such as School counseling, Outpatient counseling, Group addiction counseling, Adolescent PHP settings, families in the homeless population and psychiatric hospitals. It has always been led by the same passion to change the trajectory of the black community and families I have served. I am also an EMDR trained trauma therapist.

In continuing this work, I am focused on ensuring my person-centered approach remains nonjudgmental and supportive. I will utilize skills that are developed from treatment modalities such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), EMDR and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT). I choose an integrative model of several treatment modalities to ensure the client is the expert in their own life. Other evidence-based skills implemented are developed from a Solution Focused approach to encourage clients to see how their life will be different when the problem is eliminated or has improved to the degree satisfactory to the client.

I understand that it is often difficult to reach out for help, but sometimes it is necessary so that we can reach our fullest potential. We have all struggled with painful events that have kept us from being the person that we know that we can be.
